Edgar Odey

Entrepreneur in Lagos Nigeria

My website

I am Edgar Odey - a faith-driven engineer, founder, and builder focused on creating practical technology that solves real problems for African communities.

I am the Founder & CEO of Packet Africa, the community monetization infrastructure that helps educators, student groups, and communities collect payments, run votes and elections, sell event tickets and digital products, and grow without the friction of manual processes.

A strong bias for execution and speed has defined my journey. While studying Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Yaba College of Technology, I founded Yabatech Delivery (later Darsh), a campus food delivery service that grew rapidly by addressing immediate student needs, delivering 200 orders daily at its peak. That same mindset led me to build what started as PayDues - a simple solution for faculty and departmental dues - and evolved into Packet Africa, now used by hundreds of communities across Nigeria for payments, voting, events, and commerce.

Beyond founding, I have led product, sales, and customer growth across different stages of startups, giving me a practical understanding of how to take ideas from zero to real adoption.

I am deeply passionate about using technology to unlock economic opportunities for young Africans. My work sits at the intersection of innovation, community, and impact - focused on building systems that simplify access, create value, and help people turn ideas into sustainable income and influence.

Driven by faith and purpose, I am committed to building solutions that not only fix broken processes but also empower people to pursue bold ideas and create meaningful change.
