Edgar Odey

Edgar Odey is an award-winning entrepreneur, engineer, and builder who has spent the last several years turning ideas into businesses, products, and communities. Recognized for entrepreneurial excellence, his journey is defined by a willingness to start, experiment, build, fail, learn, and build again.

While studying Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Yaba College of Technology, Edgar founded Yabatech Delivery. This campus food delivery service grew to 200 orders a day at its peak before evolving into Darsh for the broader Lagos market.

He went on to build PayDues, a solution to the challenges student communities faced collecting payments. It eventually became Packet Africa, now serving communities with infrastructure for payments, voting, events, and commerce.

But Edgar's work extends beyond the companies he builds. His experience across product, technology, sales, customer growth, and entrepreneurship has shaped a practical understanding of what it takes to turn an idea into something people actually use.

Today, he writes, speaks, builds, and shares lessons from the journey — exploring entrepreneurship, leadership, technology, execution, personal growth, and the realities of building from Africa.

He believes entrepreneurship is not just about building companies. It is about solving meaningful problems, creating opportunities, and building something that matters.
