Develda L. Edgington, Navy Veteran/Wife, mother, and CEO of Girlz on Fire Inc. A graduate of Chapman University, with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, and currently a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the California BBS. Most recently served as the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator for the largest Marine Corps tenant command in Okinawa, Japan...3d Marine Logistics Group from June 2013-Nov 2014. After serving Marines and Sailors traumatized by sexual assault, and seeing how a series of unfortunate events lead to the breakdown of their confidence and self-worth, I knew I had to do more. I resigned from my position and launched Girlz on Fire Inc., a personal development and leadership training program for young girlz and women. We go through a series of lessons, all design to Educate, Equip, and Empower young women to know their worth and walk in their truth! We cover subjects like, confidence, integrity, responsibility, and leadership. My desire as a transformation speaker is to help women learn how to use their pain to drive their passion and connect with their destiny!

As the Founder and CEO of Girlz on Fire Inc. I aim to take this message everywhere I go, and next on the journey is my hometown of Dallas, TX! I'm blessed and honored to be returning to the place where it all started for me, and giving back to the community of girlz and women what I have learned in the 20yrs I've traveled the world. Some of my previous work includes, Mind, Body, Fitness coach, certified Domestic Violence treatment provider, Drug and Alcohol treatment (in-patient), Child and Adolescent court-appointed Special Advocate, Anger Management facilitator, National certified Sexual Assault Victim Advocate, and Youth Crisis Counselor.

Xoxo, Develda
