Ed Hansen

Raising the bar is what Ed Hansen does best. In real estate for over 42+ years, he has set an example of how successful you can be when you combine integrity, hard work and a dedication to giving back to your profession and local community.

Ed started in real estate back in 1981, at the urging of a good friend who owned a small real estate company. When he joined Fase Realty he was their first full time sales agent, though it wouldn’t be long before both of them catapulted to great success. They grew to be a multi-office brokerage, placing Ed in his first managerial role. He would also find great success with Westdale Better Homes & Gardens, Greenridge Realty and today, at the pinnacle of his career, he has become an Investment Partner and Broker at Keller Williams Grand Rapids North. No matter where he goes his reputation of being a leader, mentor and top real estate agent proceeded him. He has dozens of sales production awards, National Manager of the Year Awards and even Realtor® of the Year Award, given to him by his peers from the Greater Regional Association of Realtors®. Ed has been very active in GRAR and has served on over 100 real estate committees, the Board of Directors, Professional Standards Committee as well as President of GRAR. However, it’s his reputation for integrity and hard work with his clients and colleagues that Ed’s most proud of.

Married to Ava for 47 years. They enjoy their two son’s families, Erik & Victoria, Hendrik, Harlowe & Bianca and Tyler & Ashley, Carter and baby Alana due in January 2024! As an athlete himself, Ed enjoyed coaching both boys in every sport they played from the age of 8 on. Ed’s as passionate about his hobbies as he is about his work and is a devoted MSU fan and avid boater. Ed and his wife have lived on Lake Bella Vista in Rockford for 41 years! They enjoy boating with friends and family as often as possible. He and his family also love going to their “winter place” in Venice, Florida as often as possible during the winter months! Although Ed loves to go South, he is as equally excited about returning home to see the grandkids and get back to the office!
