Edie Kahula Pereira is a Santa Monica-based creative with a background in the fields of architecture, product development, brand development (with a focus on brand engagement) and fashion. Edie received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Oregon State University and a Masters in Architecture (M. ARCH 1) from Cal Poly, Pomona.

Most recent, Edie has consulted at Ilan Dei Venice (IDV) applying and focusing her talents as buyer, curator, connector, content-maker & collaborator towards the development of the IDV (start up) brand's business model and community engagement. Selected successful programming includes Evening Conversations, Salon Dinner Series, Ilan Dei Venice Pop Up Store & Project Lab located on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA.

As a senior project producer for award winning Los Angeles-based design studio, Artecnica, Edie has collaborated with world-renowned industrial designers such as Tord Boontje (Witches Kitchen), Joris Laarman (wirePod) and Estudio Campana (tranSneomatic) as well as with artisan master craftspeople (under Artecnica's Design with Conscience program) to bring decorative objects (with a story) to your living environments.

Edie has curated three sustainability focused pop-up art & product exhibitions in Los Angeles and in New York in collaboration with SHFT, a multi-media platform - founded by film producer Peter Glatzer and actor-filmmaker Adrian Grenier - with a mission to convey a more sustainable approach to the way we live through video, design, art and culture.

Edie has conducted in-person & internet-based research for (start up) Unified Field Corporation's media resource library and blog scouting for positive story ideas & content with a focus on sustainability and solution based transformation. UFC's goal was to produce original story content, cross-media. The media arm has since been put on hold.

Edie plays an active role within the Los Angeles community volunteering for organizations such as Rootdown LA, Garden School Foundation, the Joyful Activist and Watts House Project. And, responding to food issues as a founding member of Project Food|LA including various other groups involved in creative approaches as a way to look at the challenges we are faced with in life today.
