Edie Lynch
Filmmaker, Photographer, and Artist in Arizona
I am Edie Lynch, a writer, filmmaker, photographer and jeweler that works in New York City, Arizona, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have a new book that just came out on Amazon.com called "The Joy Boy's Daughter." It is the tumultuous story of my life and the lives of my parents and beloved grandmother and grandfather, spanning six generations, I tell the painful story of the cotton fields of Alabama where my grandmother's grandmother was sold on the auction block for fifty cents and recount my triumphs as the first BLACK fashion model allowed into Philadelphia's Model's Guild, determined to right the wrongs of my Granny whose own mother wished for just one pretty dress which she was denied her whole life. I learned many life lessons about living the rich life and giving it up to hold on to honor rather than shame. I give you the opportunity to share in many heroes and heroines stories that impart much wisdom. I love working with the homeless youth in Rio teaching them the many forms of Art I have been fortunate enough to learn and practice. I often work with a truly gifted talented composer son and RB Lynch's music and mine can be found on the Web.
