Edna is an Author, Award winning Technologist and Digital Transformation leader, who champions digital inclusion programs, digital policy and equitable access to technology and digital skills for young people in Kenya and Africa.

Edna serves as Vice Chair/Vice President of Internet Society of Kenya. ISOC, a technical community of over 3,000 ICT professionals, promotes the development of the Internet as a global infrastructure and a force for good. Her leadership at ISOC has inspired a new wave of female participation in Kenya’s Internet governance ecosystem.

Over the years, Edna has also led transformative digital skilling programs at eMobilis Technology Training Institute, including Google’s Digital Skills for Africa, the Norwegian Refugee Council’s area based livelihoods digital skills, and Kenya’s Ajira Digital Program and worked with digital inclusion initiatives such as Digify Africa by Livity, a South African agency bridging the continent’s digital divide, all of which expand opportunities for underserved youth and young women.

A published author of ‘She Leads’ – Lessons from Women Leaders, co-authored with amazing women leaders, Edna uses her voice to advocate for leadership, mentorship, and leveraging technology for social impact .
