A board-certified pediatric neurologist, Dr. Ednea Simon works for the Swedish Pediatric Neuroscience Center, a major hospital in Seattle, Washington. Before accepting her current position, she taught at the University of Washington Division of Pediatric Neurology as acting assistant professor. During her time at the Pediatric Neurology division, Dr. Ednea Simon earned the Outstanding Teaching Award in Child Neurology, nominated by the Child Neurology residents.

In preparation for her medical career, Dr. Ednea Simon enrolled at the State University of Campinas School of Medicine, through which she received her MD. She underwent her residency in child neurology and internship in pediatrics through the University of Washington and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Later, she completed her clinical neurophysiology fellowship and her pediatric epilepsy mini-fellowship.

Actively involved in the broader professional community, Dr. Simon is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Washington State Neurological Society, American Epilepsy Society, and the Child Neurology Society. She also supports charitable organizations like the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest.
