I am a curious person and I try to look at things from different perspectives.
I am a Sport Scientist by trade and an eager researcher at heart. I believe that we can learn way more than exercises through physical training, moving our body is life experience in itself. Through the movement of our body we can look at living in its entire meaning.
My love for physical activities was clear since young age. At high school I make a conscious decision of studying Exercise and Sport Science because I thought that teaching physical education was going to be my life mission. I envisioned myself leading PE classes from the front line.
By the time I started to work, my idea of teaching PE in school evolved in sharing my passion for physical training to anybody. I had been lucky enough to work with a variety of people, from young athletes to elderly.
After a period of time in London, I came back to Milan and felt ready to embrace a new adventure. Parallel to my PT job, I started to work with the Dream Team, a basketball team promoting social integration for special people. I think that the four years I spent working with Laura Granata and those amazing guys have been the most rewarding of my life.
I moved from Italy to Australia in 2012 and my perspective around physical training and education has changed a lot. In the first weekend after landing in Perth, I obtained my CrossFitTrainer L1 certificate. In less than a year I got certified as Remedial Massage Therapist and I focused on hands-on therapies for the following 2 to 3 years.
In 2015 I became a father of a little boy. As soon as my partner got pregnant, my main question was “will I be able to be like a lion which plays with his cubs and leads by example?”. This made me interested in what is called MovNat, so I completed the trainer level 1 and 2 certificates. I started to regularly walk barefoot and training natural movements like crawling and climbing trees. I attended an Ido Portal workshop before falling in love with the Fighting Monkey research. I am also deepening my understanding of the self-regulation system of the body studying and experiencing the Vegetative Training under the guidance of Inge-Jarl Clausen.
My family and I find also inspirational Katy Bowman work. In the last 3 years we have tried to live and shape our environment in a way that it facilitates incidental movement.
