Ed Salvato is editor in chief of ManAboutWorld, number-one gay travel magazine built for iPad and Android tablet platform, which he launched along with his business partner Billy Kolber in summer 2012. The magazine has surpassed his wildest expectations with over 18,000 downloads after 17 issues (with no marketing or promotion). ManAboutWorld is in the top 1% of all travel apps offered in the App Store.

Often called "the world's foremost gay travel expert," Ed Salvato is a widely respected speaker on LGBT travel and tourism; gay travel consultant; social media consultant; call-in radio travel expert (Sirius/XM); an influencer in global gay tourism; and a frequent speaker at both mainstream and LGBT travel-related conference. Ed has spoken at the annual conferences of American Bus Association, Public Relations Society of America, Destination Marketing Association International among others. In addition to his editorial work, for the past four years he has been working with a variety of mainstream clients — including hotels, destination marketing organizations, publishers, and event producers — in the hospitality industry who wish to successfully target LGBT travelers.
