The Central Pennsylvania Paralegal Association is a professional organization comprised of paralegals, paralegal students, related organizations and educational members throughout central Pennsylvania.PPA is a member of NFPA, The National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. NFPA is a professional organization comprised of paralegal associations and individual paralegals throughout the United States.Members of CPPA have varying types of backgrounds, experience, education, and job responsibilities which reflect the diversity of the paralegal profession. CPPA promotes the growth, development and recognition of the paralegal profession.CPPA's membership averages between 75 to 85 members including paralegals, paralegal educators and students in the Central Pennsylvania region. Since 1984, the mission of CPPA is to promote, protect and advance the paralegal profession and its interests through fostering creative expansion of paralegal roles, at all times operating within the boundaries of the profession; to offer continuing education and scholarships to paralegals as well as education of employers and consumers in the use of paralegals; and to encourage communication between individual paralegals and paralegal associations regarding developments in the profession.is affiliated with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) and supports the promotion of PACE (Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam).p>
