Twenty-two-year educator Wanda Terral is currently the Instructional Technology Specialist for the Lakeland School System in Lakeland, Tennessee. She has worked for Shelby County Schools (Memphis, TN) as a high school band director, middle school music teacher, and specialist in educational technology. Wanda is a lifelong learner constantly seeking information relating to new techniques and practices that relate to the use of technology to empower students to use technology as a learning tool. She actively shares resources on Google+, Twitter, and on various websites. A Google Certified Innovator, Google Certified Trainer, former Google Glass Explorer, and all-around evangelist for Google in Education, she was also named the Lead Digital Innovator for the state of Tennessee in 2016 by PBS LearningMedia. A member of ISTE, CUE, AECT, TETA, she is also a lifetime member of Tau Beta Sigma. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Instructional Design and Technology at The University of Memphis (ABD) researching self-directed professional learning. When not spending time with her four cats, she is also a freelance web designer, programmer, and an avid listener of audiobooks.
