A highly educated security and law enforcement professional, Eduardo Jany completed general education coursework and Latin American studies at the University of Minnesota before earning a certificate in conflict management and diplomacy from the Inter-American Defense College in Washington, D.C., and a master of science in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. Eduardo Jany also completed multiple national and international security programs through the National Defense University and the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.

After serving more than a quarter of a century in city law enforcement, Eduardo Jany became director of security operations and executive officer of global security with Bloomberg, a privately held financial software, data, and media company with headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. This position places Mr. Jany in charge of daily activities and strategic planning for more than 100 international facilities that employ more than 18,000 workers. He also oversees a multimillion-dollar operational budget.
