I was born in Brazil in 1966 to a British mother and a Spanish-Basque father. I discovered my entrepreneurial spirit at a young age and began my professional career at 12 by partnering with a friend to provide disco party services for our school and community.
While reading Economics at the Catholic University in Rio in 1988, I founded the first multimedia software company in Latin America. I played a significant role in pioneering the multimedia software market and developed a range of products, including multimedia simulators, theme park games, multimedia training, and marketing software for corporations. As consumer CD-ROMs emerged in 1994, I shifted my focus to multimedia publishing, producing and launching numerous reference, educational, games, and entertainment titles.
As the internet gained traction, I transitioned all my content to web portals. In 2002, I decided to pivot the company and transformed it into a digital home video publisher, achieving a leadership position in the market. I established relationships with several key international technology companies and content providers.
I am particularly proud of my contribution to the development of the educational multimedia and software publishing markets through channels like D2C, retail, and schools. In parallel, I led startup efforts and implemented agile development methodologies in software/content projects, including visualization software, 2D/3D games, and multimedia production. While growing these companies, I developed brands and teams to deliver digital entertainment and educational solutions in the general B2B2C commercial sector.
I have had the privilege of speaking at numerous industry seminars, congresses, and events. In 2008, I invented, patented, developed, and launched an audiovisual browser called DX, which introduced a new virtualization framework for building IPTVs and streaming networks. Several media companies, including Turner, adopted this innovative technology.
Since 2018, I have been mentoring companies in scaling up their operations and marketing efforts in the US and abroad.
In March 2020, I launched an online hybrid event production service at ScalePV that gained rapid adoption. This started my path on the use of Generative AI for video and audio processing and content generation.
Since mid-2025 I have dedicated my efforts to building two platforms: an platform for the Naturetech and Nature based solutions called BiodiverCity, and UAPedia focused on bringing credible, evidence based knowledge to the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena arena.
Apart from my professional accomplishments, I have a passion for trekking in nature and gardening, and I am grateful most of all to my wife and family that have made all this possible.
