Edward E. Escobedo
EMT, Father, and Emergency Department in Pueblo West, Colorado
I am an explorer. I love to seek new challenges that make life interesting and rewarding. My lifelong goal is to be a perpetual learner, to stretch far and often beyond my comfort zone so that I can grow and appreciate all that life has to offer. That is why I have had three very different careers in my life, excelling in each one and taking everything I've learned and using it to tackle my next goal. Banking gave me a knowledge in finance, that I utilize every day to tackle my current challenges. As a pharmacy tech, I learned the science of medicine, how it works, and how it can help a person overcome or control their health issues. Information Technology, IT, is not only a career but a passion as well. I have always enjoyed the fast pace in which technology is always evolving. It has been a wonderful source of continues learning and challenges to overcome.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California where the opportunities are limitless, and if you could think of it, it was there. I could be on the beaches of Mexico one weekend, and then hiking a mountain trail the next. I really consider myself blessed to have had the opportunities that I did while growing up. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. Everything that I experienced is what has formed me into the man I am today. I'm very proud of my accomplishments, and U am looking forward to many more.
Besides computers, my favorite hobby is hiking. It's not about another mile, but more about appreciating nature and life as a whole. The mountain air, the sounds of nature, and just enjoying all that life has to offer is exhilarating for me.
Of all my accomplishments, I feel that my daughter is my biggest one of all. Alyssa Rose Escobedo, born July 8th, 2007, not only has she been biggest challenge, she's also been my most rewarding one as well. Every day I look forward to the challenges that come with being a father. I find it absolutely amazing to watch a child grow and learn each and everyday.
