I am the author of “Taming the Beast,” Charles Manson’s Life behind Prison Bars. I graduated of the University of San Francisco where I received a BA in Liberal Arts. Prior to that, I spent five years studying for the priesthood before joining the Navy’s flight program. Upon discharge, I spent a two years as a social worker, and two years as a cop in the city of Alameda. For the next thirty years, I worked for the California Dept. of Corrections. I started as a correctional counselor and quickly promoted into administration. After retiring, I taught at a local Community College and began writing.

I have written many articles for the local newspaper and a few for small trade publications. It has never been quite ready. Recently, I published a novel, “The Bishop’s Folly,” Scandal in the Church,” now available as an e-book. I recently finished a non-fiction book, “Prison Race Wars,” about George Jackson’s escape attempt from San Quentin Prison in 1971. It will be published soon.
