Hi there, my name's Edward Zhang. I spent several years at the University of Maryland studying Economics/Accounting and developed great friendships there. Shortly after graduation and after my first role as an Accountant, I created a tech startup in 2012 with a few tremendous friends from UMD and Cornell as OuterClub.com. We built real-time technology for outdated online communities on the Internet. In late March 2012, we were featured by Gb.tc and Insquared conference in Baltimore as the goto discussion platform for conference conversations.

In 2014, I left Constellation, a Fortune500 company, where I monitored/assisted commodities trading, and ensured it was properly regulated under FERC/Dodd Frank. From there, I worked as a Staff Consultant with PSI and PwC to assist the DOD in implementing a consistent, Department-wide plan for achieving the Department’s financial improvement and audit readiness objectives, specifically in Real Property.

In late 2015, PSI offered me an opportunity to join their PMO, where I directed and maintained the financials of 20+ projects through budgeting of funds across various OYs, forecasting profit/loss, gross margin and EVM, recording of labor hours for employees and subcontractors and their cost/bill rates. By late 2016, I opted to return to the DOD, this time to support DISA. I currently provide financial management support to mid and large scale PMOs and DoD IT systems organizations in support of meeting financial management requirements, including creation of the budget, spend plan, and funding packages.

Moving forward, I'm interested in Program Analyst roles where I can make an impact in directing programs on a financial management level. As an individual, I'm motivated, professional, and communicative, but most of all, I consider myself a team player with dedication towards the org's objectives.
