Edward Bergles

Trumpeter Edward Bergles amassed approximately three decades of experience teaching music within Wisconsin’s Racine Unified School District as, among other things, the director of Park High School’s jazz band and wind ensemble. Edward Bergles also taught symphonic and freshman band, and in 2010, he guided Jazz Band II through a blind audition process that led to its performance in the prestigious Wisconsin State Music Conference in Madison. That same year, the band attended the Heritage Jazz Festival in San Antonio, where it earned the Adjudicator's Award.
Certified to teach instrumental music in kindergarten through 12th grade, Edward Bergles received his BA from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. Throughout the early 1980s, he taught instrumental music at elementary and middle schools, and before joining Park High School in 2004, he served as the director of bands at McKinley Middle School for more than 15 years. For several years in the 1990s, Mr. Bergles engaged with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music program in planning a regular choir and high school band trip to Europe.
