I am Edward Schmidt, a healthcare and emergency response professional based in Tyler, Texas. For more than 20 years, I have built my career around service, leadership, preparation, and patient safety.

My background includes work as a Registered Nurse, licensed paramedic, EMS instructor, firefighter, and emergency management professional. I have served in emergency rooms, trauma care, cardiology, flight medicine, hospital supervision, regional command operations, and military medical leadership. These roles taught me how to stay calm, make sound decisions, and support others during difficult situations.

Education and continued training have always been important to me. I earned degrees in nursing administration, public health administration, nursing, and paramedicine. I believe professionals should keep learning because knowledge, standards, and technology continue to change.

I am also passionate about mentorship. Throughout my career, I have trained students, new hires, emergency responders, and healthcare professionals. Helping others build confidence and succeed is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Integrity, time management, resilience, and accountability guide how I lead. Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my children and friends. My goal is to leave a legacy of service, strength, and positive leadership for my family and community.
