Corey Edwards
Aberystwyth
A hardworking and independent individual continuously trying to improve myself and further my skills. I feel I have the required traits to achieve great things, bringing a lot to offer to a company.
From a young age I was always desperate to drive, as soon as I turned 17 I learnt to drive and quickly passed my test first time soon after and have been driving ever since.
One of my proudest personal achievements is that I set up a football team in September 2013, obtained sponsorship from local companies in Aberystwyth and brought in talented, team players originating from all over, from an Ecuadorian and a Russian to a Canadian and a Pole. In April 2014, coming to the end of our first season, we won the cup, which included around 40 teams. I feel I had a positive influence on all our team members both individually and on a group as a whole. I developed my organisation, communication and leadership skills immensely in the process.
I speak relatively good Welsh and I'm more than comfortable conversing, understanding and writing it.
I have had reasonable work experience gaining a wide variety of invaluable skills having worked in fields including telesales and hospitality. In the telesales position on part-time hours I contributed to sales worth in excess of £190,000 for a double glazing company in the five months or so I was there, resulting in me earning a promotion.
I'm from Bridgend in South Wales though I'm currently at Aberystwyth University studying towards a degree in Business and Management, on course for a high 2:1 but pushing for a 1st. I'm due to complete this course in May 2015.
