Edward Tobinick

Edward Tobinick is the founder of the Institute of Neurological Recovery (INR), a private medical practice with an active physician training program. With over 20 years of experience within the medical field, Edward Tobinick has received several honors and certifications, including the UCLA Department of Medicine Five and Ten Year Teaching Certificates, the Venice Family Clinic Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteer Teaching, and the Rossman/Davidson Clinical Teaching/Service Award.

After getting his MD from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in La Jolla, California, Dr. Tobinick completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA Hospital. He later founded the INR with the goal of advancing medical treatment, research, and overall concepts within the field. Through his dedication to advancement, he has been awarded 22 patents in the U.S. and a foreign patent for the use of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antagonists for treatment of a variety neurological disorders, including intractable sciatica, following stroke and traumatic brain injury, and for Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Dr. Tobinick also serves as the ad hoc reviewer for several journals, including the Journal of Neuroimmunology, Brain Research, and Future Neurology, and has published more than 25 scientific articles in a variety of scientific journals.

In his free time, Dr. Tobinick volunteers his time at the Venice Family Clinic in California, a community clinic that provides high quality health care to people of all ages who are uninsured and in need.
