Edwin Chin

Edwin Chin is a business-driven data scientist with a deep expertise infinance and analytics. Edwin spent over a decade as a Wall Street trader and ahedge fund portfolio manager, where he extracted investment insights frompredictive analytics on consumers and real estate data. His research hasled him deeper into the field of applied artificial intelligence. Interested in understanding and replicating higher order intelligencesuch as reasoning, intuition and perception, Edwin has developed considerableexpertise in applying deep learning techniques. Recently, Edwin worked ona project to create a computer vision interface capable of applying humanperception to restore damaged art images. His design was based on theDCGAN (Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Network) framework firstdeveloped by Ian Goodfellow in 2014. Edwin implemented two competingneural networks that are delicately trained to restore unseen art images andphotographs to its original condition.
