Edwin Day is the Managing Principal for DAYe Capital, LLC, a private investment firm dedicated exclusively to managing capital according to a proprietary, quantitatively-driven approach emphasizing active risk management and downside protection.
He has been deeply involved in capital markets and strategic advisory since 2004, first as an investment banker with Lazard Freres & Co., then as a member of the corporate strategy teams for both 21st Century Fox and Electronic Arts, and most recently as the Managing Principal for DAYe Capital where he is responsible for all investment decisions as well as the strategic direction of the firm.
In his spare time Edwin enjoys writing about the markets, investing and personal finance via his blog, the STREET CYNIC, which serves as a digest of his thoughts, musings, comments and reads from the perspective of an unabashedly cynical professional money manager.
Born and raised in San Jose, California, Edwin graduated from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in business.
