Founder & CEO AgriConnectAfrica in Washington, DC

I am an entrepreneur, author, and agricultural innovator focused on transforming how food systems work across Africa and globally. I grew up in Zambia and Zimbabwe, where I developed an early understanding of agriculture and its role in people’s lives. Over time, I saw the gap between what farmers produce and what global markets demand, and I built my career around closing that gap.

I became known for pioneering Zimbabwe’s blueberry industry and leading export projects that supplied international retailers in the UK, UAE, and China. My journey has not been without challenges. After losing land during political changes, I shifted my approach to working with small-scale farmers through contract farming. That experience reshaped my thinking and strengthened my focus on building inclusive systems.

Today, I lead AgriConnectAfrica, a digital platform connecting farmers to markets, finance, and infrastructure across the continent. My goal is to empower millions of farmers while creating opportunities for young people and strengthening food security.

I am also the author of several books, including The Mathematics of Food, where I explore the economic forces shaping what we eat. For me, success is measured by how many people I help succeed.
