Ed Zed Omega
This year, over 1 million U.S. high school students are not thinking about back to school shopping – because they're dropouts. That's roughly 7,000 kids dropping out every school day. A new game for change aims to figure out why. Ed Zed Omega is a collaborative thought experiment about education – like a documentary, but on social media.
Six kids - aka the Zed Omegas - are fed up with high school and have decided to drop out. But an enthusiastic guidance counselor strikes a deal: one last semester of self-directed study. A crowdsourced investigation pushing them to figure out what the current education issues are and how to solve them. These high schoolers want to fix high school - so they are dropping out LOUD.
