I am a nonprofit communicator who has found a home as a Creative Content and Outreach Coordinator at the Obesity Action Coalition in Tampa, FL. At the OAC I get to do a little bit of everything in the world of communications: writing, designing, editing, social media and even a little community relations here and there.

One of the things I've truly loved about my work in the nonprofit field is the plethora of stories there are to tell, and that by sharing these stories, I know that I'm making a difference in the world one word at a time.

I'm a recent graduate of the Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications at the University of South Florida. While at USF, I participated in a variety of teams and projects, such as the USF Oracle, the Dean's office for my college and the USF Alumni Association. It was an interesting journey throughout my three years at USF, and along the way I learned a lot, saw new parts of the world and made lifelong friendships that I couldn't forget about even if I tried.

I think that's what I love so much about storytelling — there's stories out there that you couldn't forget even if you tried. I want to be the person to tell those stories. Those heartfelt pictures that make scrapbooks. Those words of wisdom that make quote boards. Those moments that stay engrained in our minds forever.

I want to capture those moments, and I hope you'll see that I'm working to accomplish that goal — one story at a time.
