I am a computer science engineer with a Masters in cybersecurity and over a decade of experience in IT & cybersecurity across Latin America, the US, UK, and Ireland. Originally from Colombia, and having worked in consulting and industry roles across diverse regions, I have honed my ability to thrive in uncertain environments and devise unique solutions that align people, processes, and technology.
My expertise spans the offensive, defensive, and architectural aspects of cybersecurity. As my career evolves, I am shifting towards a more strategic role, dedicated to helping organisations seamlessly integrate cybersecurity practices into their daily operations. I am passionate about cybersecurity, and therefore, my approach emphasises human-centred processes to support effective leadership. I also enjoy collaborating with other cybersecurity and IT professionals navigating the constantly evolving cyber landscape, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
I am deeply passionate about diversity, inclusion, and mentoring and in 2022 I was honoured with the Cyber Diversity Champion of the Year award at the EU Cyber Awards with ICTTF. Additionally in 2018, I was shortlisted for Security Champion of the Year at the Women in IT Awards.
