A few words of introduction

Evelyn Ferchuk (AKA me) has been doing corporate communications work for years – over 30, in fact.

I also hike, run the occasional 5K, bake the best from scratch chocolate cake on the planet, and have two sons of which I am extremely proud.

Beyond this, I love adventure travel. Having taken on the challenge of obtaining a degree in professional communications, I am required to enter, what is for me, the unfamiliar world of digital communications. So where am I going with this? Let me introduce Bug Jackets and Other Gems.

While traveling to over 20 countries during the past 10 years (on a shoe-string budget, I might add), I have collected a number of stories and tips that add to the enjoyment of adventure travel. Sometimes these are places, sometimes they are people, and sometimes they are obscure things, like bug jackets (more on that later). Through Bug Jackets and Other Gems,I will share some of what I've learned over the years. As a requirement of the course I will also curate and share content related to travel.
