I'm a 30-something queer Filipino American guy studying to be a pharmacist at UCSF School of Pharmacy. Currently, I'm at Epocrates doing a drug information pharmacy internship through their medical information department, working primarily on their Epocrates mobile app.

I've been blessed to do a lot of awesome things while at UCSF, including:

  • directing PUSO's (Pilipinos of UCSF Student Organization) 2010 Undergraduate Recruitment Day, a completely student-run statewide conference to encourage Filipinos and other people of color to consider careers in the health professions and to apply at UCSF;
  • co-organizing UCSF's Transgender Health Elective in 2011, the nation's only professional student-led course on transgender health concerns;
  • and spearheading Mr. Pharmacy 2011, a tongue-in-cheek celebration of UCSF School of Pharmacy's masculine side and major fundraiser for 2010-11 as the Class of 2013 P2 Vice President.

Things I like to do when I'm not stressing out over studying medications: swimming, writing for 8asians.com, hiking/walking, karaoke, cooking, cocktails and doing yoga badly. (Photo by Rosemary Mamisay)
