The Employers’ Federation of Southern India, popularly known as EFSI which was founded in the year 1920 is representing the Employers in the States of AP, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala and affiliated to the Employers’ Federation of India (EFI), Mumbai and All India Organization of Employers’ (AIOE), New Delhi.
The Federation through its state branches deals with wide-ranging subjects which include labour policy and labour legislation at the Central and State level, personnel matters, human resources development, training and social issues of relevance and importance to the community of Employers of all sectors. The Federation also renders advice to individual companies in respect of their problems. The Federation is represented on several official policy making bodies and other boards/committees concerning labour policy and legislation and industrial relations, constituted by the Central and State Governments.
The Federation serves as the coordinator for Employers’ Organizations and industrial associations dealing with employee related matters and serves as the secretariat for mutual consultation and coordination of approach on common issues. The Federation keeps Members informed of current enactments, rules, notifications, case laws and other developments in the field of industrial relations from time to time through a regular flow of circulars and quarterly newsletters.
The Hyderabad Branch of the Federation has around 200 member-organisations on its rolls from various regions of the State, including Rayalaseema Employers’ Association, Chittoor and Jeedimetla Industries Association, Hyderabad.
