Emily Funk

My name is Emily Funk and I am from Long Island, New York. Interior Design is my obsession (with that comes an addiction to HGTV and Pinterest.) "House Hunters" is my lullaby at night and during the day I find my eyes getting tired as I scroll through hundreds of designer pages on Pinterest. In addition, I have a passion for the environment and keeping it at peace. I believe we must always be reminded that the environment is not only clean air and saving rainforests, but also keeping animals safe and beaches clean. Growing up in a coastal community, the beach has been my escape; it is my home. I lead an active lifestyle, running and doing yoga daily. Running makes my body feel good. Yoga makes my mind feel good. As a creative person, I strive to incorporate that creativity into my writing. Art consists of elements such as rhythm, variety, and unity, all combining to make a harmonious piece. I find that using those elements in my writing makes my work a piece of art. So, as a 19 year old student at UGA, I have a profound interest in beautiful spaces, salty air, animals, as well as a peaceful environment.
