Department of Electronic Instrum -GCT
Learning plays an important role in our life. The development of our intellectual potential depends on what we learn, how we learn and where we learn.Instrumentation has evolved from a series of devices, developed to fill specific needs of measurement and control, to a science in itself, where the premises and economics of entire plants and processes are based on suitable control strategies and instrumentation systems. The objective of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is to prepare a pool of motivatedengineering professionals who are well prepared to face challenges of changing trends of modern engineering and technology. The B.Tech program has been developed such that students are provided good blend of theoretical and practical knowledge of instrumentation engineering. The curriculum has been designed such that it encircles employment opportunities in academia, government, research, industry, engineering and management positions. The department boasts on its well-equipped labs and well qualified faculty members who are fully dedicated towards their duties. A number of faculty members and students are part of various technical and non-technical forums and societies, which consequently gives them a good exposure to engineering concepts and technology.
We have tremendous faith that our staff members and students would satisfy the responsibility and credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective areas. We wish you all the best for any future endeavors and assure of all possible support from the side of the department.
About Department
Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering is a fast growing branch in the field of Electronics because of its interdisciplinary nature. It has wide scope in all industrial processes and applications. E.I.&C. Engineers are in full demand not only in process industries but also in Automobile Industries, due to increased automation. With changing times, many processes have become more and more automated and a need for a closer monitoring of inputs and responses has been felt. As a result the instruments at the component and sub-system levels also need to become more and more integrated. EIC branch is full cognizance of this situation and is catering to the need of the present demand. It came into existence in year 2010.
