E. Genevieve Williams is an American artist and writer. Her design studio in Manhattan has earned international acclaim for its multimedia work including a Silver Clio, Creativity Platinum and Gold Awards, among others. Genevieve teaches design at Marymount Manhattan College. She is completing a doctorate in Philosophy, Art, and Critical Thought from the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Her work falls into the categories of transmedia storytelling, collaborative culture, user-generated contents, and narratology — Genevieve’s inquiries are truth-fictions that cross disciplines in search of an ever-illusive “home.” Her work draws on a wide range of influences from painting, to fiction, to studies in religion and semiotics. Genevieve’s work uses sparse and haunting language to question boundaries wherein agency is relinquished to the individual and choice must argue for or against moral systems—or at least interrogate them. She has an affinity for solitary, nature soaked settings. Her truth-fiction landscapes are inhabited by the palpable absence of human presence, and by loners and seekers.
