Egidio Vaz is a historian and communications consultant with over 10 years of relevant experience . He is currently responsible for advocacy and alliances of the newly established media strengthening program managed by IREX and funded by USAID . He is also a Sub-Saharan international consultant for the Wage Indicator Foundation responsible for promoting social dialogue , labor rights and decent work in Uganda , Mozambique , Tanzania , Ghana , Zambia and Madagascar . Academically , Egidio is a researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Communication - CEC and member of AEJMC , American Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. He worked for different international organizations such as Cowater, DFID and Swiss Agency for International Development. His experience in communication covers areas ranging from development communication , corporate communication , political communication , management and communication media campaigns. Egidio Vaz is also national political commentator for the Independent Television of Mozambique, TIM , STV , BBC , Deutsche Welle , Voice of America and occasionally for others. Writes for newspapers and magazines and is also a collaborator of Global Voices Online .
