About Us

The late Naser Elahi, one of the pioneering and influential figures of contemporary Iranian glassmaking, was born in 1955 . From childhood, around 1961, he began hands-on experience in producing blown and deformed glass. Over time, by merging traditional knowledge with a fresh perspective, he became recognized as one of the first modern glass artists in Iran In 1994 , Master Elahi established his own specialized workshop. Collaborating with prominent artists such as the late Mohammad Ziaei and Farideh Lashai, he played a significant role in redefining the artistic status of glass in Iran. He was always concerned that glassmaking should not be viewed merely as an industry but rather appreciated as a genuine artistic medium. Throughout his career, he participated in major exhibitions and received official recognition at Sa’dabad Palace. He also engaged in fruitful collaborations with international artists from countries including the Netherlands and the United States, which facilitated the exchange of new experiences and the blending of diverse perspectives. One of his enduring achievements was his innovative work combining glass and metal especially copper resulting in unique textures and patterns unprecedented in Iran. He was the founder of the “Elahi Glass” brand, an artistic label that was later renamed “E-Glass” by his son, Ali Elahi, who has continued the family’s creative legacy with a renewed identity. A devoted supporter of education and the transmission of artistic knowledge, Master Elahi trained many students in the field. Among them, his son Ali Elahi, who from a young age closely observed and absorbed his father’s creative process, became his most important artistic heir. This distinguished artist passed away in December 2013 (Azar 1392). Nevertheless, his legacy lives on in the essence of his works, in the voices of the glass, in the spirit of his brand, and in the hands of his son Ali Elahi, who today carries forward his father’s path with passion and fresh creativity.
