Egmond Boon is an educational technology integrator with fifteen years of working experience in various international environments. He has a great passion for visual and auditory arts and became a life-long learner through the use of a variety of technologies. Egmond started his career as an educator in 2006 in Singapore and relished the opportunity to pass on his passion and enthusiasm to students and other educators. Egmond has a clear focus on the teaching and learning process and the development of key skills amongst learners.
Egmond successfully integrated an Apple/Windows cross-platform learning environment, mobile-learning with iPads and iPods, ePortfolio's, classroom websites, game-based learning, open source and Web 2.0 tools such as Google Apps, Wikiserver, Blog, Moodle, Joomla, Vodcast and Podcast station.
He is and international educator experienced in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Dutch national curriculum with advanced skills in management. Mastered Kagan’s cooperative learning structures, Gardner's Multiple Intelligences, Marzano’s effective teaching and learning strategies and Lynn Erickson's concept-based learning programme.
Egmond is specialised in the integration of technology into schools, classrooms and curricula. Effective coach and trainer with a clear focus on the teaching and learning process and the development of key skills amongst learners.
