Egon Rathke

I was born in Rügenwalde in Pommern and later moved to Kiel, where I grew up and went to school. I chose to become a cook and confectioner in my early occupational years. At some point in time, I developed an interest in Photography and Painting and attended art classes to learn the various techniques involved. I continued my studies for some years and then decided to move to Berlin in 1978.

In the many photo and painting contests that I took part in, I managed to win several awards using my painting techniques, I have not only participated in numerous exhibitions, but have also directed many at home and abroad.

Today, I enjoy the exciting big city life in Berlin and am quite satisfied with my creative work up to now.
