Egor Khalilov was born in Alma-Ata (Almaty), Kazakh SSR, on January 26, 1990. He spent his childhood in Uzbekistan. His father was a pilot by profession, and his mother was an accountant.

From 1996 to 2006, Egor Khalilov was seriously involved in basketball, achieving the rank of Candidate Master of Sports. Among school subjects, he preferred mathematics, chemistry, and English.

In 2002, at the age of 12, Egor Khalilov started working. At first, he sold stationery, two years later he got a job in a public catering establishment, and then engaged in apartment renovations.

In 2009, he moved to Moscow. In 2011, Egor Khalilov, together with partners, opened a company that provided certification services for goods imported to Russia. After some time, due to disagreements with co-founders, the businessman left the firm.

At the end of 2012, after passing a multi-stage selection process, Egor Khalilov was hired as a sales manager for training courses at Softline. This is an international IT company, a provider of technological solutions and services in 55 countries worldwide. For six months in this position, Egor Khalilov showed high results, after which he was transferred to the position of IT solutions sales manager, dealing with products from Microsoft and SAP. In terms of sales volume, he ranked second in the company among several dozen similar specialists.

In 2017, Egor Khalilov began his career in the team of the Russian developer of corporate cybersecurity products, InfoWatch. He started as a key account sales manager, later being promoted to head of the commercial sector division.

In 2019, he was invited to the position of key account manager at Group-IB. A year later, Egor Khalilov moved to the position of Sales Director. As a division head, he made effective management decisions, which ultimately provided about 60% of the company's turnover by 2023.

In 2023, Group-IB signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As Egor Khalilov notes, Group-IB confirmed its partnership with the credit organization in the field of cybersecurity through this document.

Thanks to the decisions made by Egor Khalilov, Group-IB Central Asia continues to actively form a system to counter cyber fraud in the Central Asian region, and also implements a long-term strategy to create a global decentralized network of independent Digital Crime Resistance Centers.
