Eric Hannula
Creative Director in Manhattan, New York
Eric serves as Associate Creative Director at Sudler & Hennessey.
At the age of 8, he pitched—and won over his parents—for the coveted, 1985 G.I. Joe Aircraft Carrier, and has not stopped pitching since.
He’s gone on to win numerous advertising industry awards in both consumer and healthcare industries, but has yet to receive recognition for his karaoke exploits. Eric began his career working in graphic design for fashion brands like Lacoste, Victoria’s Secret, and Henri Bendel. After he exited the fashion industry in 2005, Eric joined his first pharma ad agency as art director and won Gleevec, a drug so famous that it made the cover of Time. And so began his healthcare ad career.
Since joining Sudler & Hennessey in 2013, the year “twerk” was added to the dictionary, Eric has promoted two FDA breakthrough therapies, managed two copromote launches without crying, produced the agency’s first multiaward-winning app, AR experience, and other wearable tech winners, all the while managing to keep his Midwest roots intact.
Eric is a tech junkie and lives happily on the grid, but he’s also a crate-digging vintage vinyl audiophile. He geeks out over how the past inspires the future, but more important, how technology helps inform greater health. If Eric isn’t solving advertising problems, he’s roaming the NYC boroughs for a rare, original pressing of an LP.
