Ei Ei Aung is currently working as a foreign research fellow at the Department of Oral Health Promotion with a grant from “Japan Dental Association” and is responsible for the research work on “Public-private partnership for community health promotion”. Moreover, she is an active member of Global Health Mentoring program. Initiated of dental health consultation activity on Myanmar migrant in Japan together with Myanmar Charity and Family Garden (MCFG) non-profit organization and contributed as a lead coordinator in dental section demonstrated her leadership and management skills. She has nearly 8 years of progressive experience as a public health specialist and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the international health industry. Her interests include health policy and promotion, oral health, non-communicable diseases, migrant health and sustainable development. Strong operations professional with a Ph.D. degree focused in health promotion with dentistry background from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. In an academic, research and professional setting, Ms. Ei Ei has training and skill in analytical strategies of the burden of diseases study, disease modelling, and clinical trial research. While she was working at the International Health Policy Program Foundation under Ministry of Public Health (Thailand) as a policy researcher, she wrote a grant-proposal (representative of the team) to ASEAN-CHINA Cooperative Fund and it was successfully selected. She demonstrates a solid track record of peer-reviewed publications, national reports, and lively member of professional society in her profession and area of work. Additionally, she contributes in national burden of diseases capacity building efforts in research methods. Ms. Ei Ei is continually engaged in professional development and furthering her leadership skills. She received Japanese government scholarship for 5 years (2011 to 2016) to study postgraduate degree. She successfully received research grant from “Futokukai Foundation”, Tokyo, Japan during her postgraduate projects. She actively involves in the community services and volunteer work in health and development issues since she was an undergraduate student.
