Eileen Dowd is a forward-thinking social activist involved in numerous charitable activities. Committed to speaking out against injustice and promoting tolerance, she is an active member of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, as well as Stand Together, a network that takes action against bullying. Eileen Dowd volunteers for the food pantry at a local church and assists children with autism as they prepare to receive the Sacraments. In addition, she volunteers at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Eileen Dowd donates to a variety of organizations including Women for Women, Habitat for Humanity, Network for Good, and the International Medical Corps. She also provides her support to Americares, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Oakland, New Jersey Fire Department.
Dowd's passion for helping people has also extended to her professional life. For 10 years she was a customer service representative for Becton Dickinson and was awarded for her exceptional service skills. A committed wife and mother, she has been married for 33 years and has two adult children.
