Often better known as Eingang, I'm a quirky blonde Canadian with a passion for teaching, community, and technology. I've been teaching in higher education since 1995 and have been an Open University (UK) course chair, course author, or associate lecturer since 2001. My subject areas are web technologies, virtual worlds, accessibility issues in technology, e-learning, programming, and Open Source philosophies.

I was previously researching motivation, communities, and adult learning in massively multiplayer online games at the University of Sussex as part of a Ph.D. This involved spending time in places like EVE Online and World of Warcraft, where I've been leading communities of players for over 10 years.
