Look out Hollywood, here comes Eiza Gonzalez!
Mexican actress and singer, Eiza González, wants to take Hollywood by storm! The former “Amores Verdaderos” star move permanently to Los Angeles on September 1, 2013 to pursue her dreams in movies and music in the United States. In Latin America, González is very well known and respected for her roles in telenovelas. Her most successful telenovela so far being "Amores Verdaderos,” where she played Nikki Brizz, a young woman who struggled with bulimia and anorexia.
She started her career in 2008 after she was chosen to star in “Lola…érase Una Vez” (Lola…Once Upon a Time). Once that telenovela ended, González moved to Argentina to star in Nickelodeon’s “Sueña Conmigo,” where she played Clara Molina by day and Roxy-Pop by night.
On September 6, Eiza was cast in the upcoming film, "All Hail The Squash Blossom Queen." Adrian Cervantes, who is directing the film, said that 23 year old Eiza will be playing “a straight American girl."
Cervantes also shared: “The whole movie takes place during a single summer. [It’s about] a small-town girl who lives to compete in beauty pageants. She’ll be facing a huge challenge when her main love interest becomes her biggest opponent at the town’s beauty pageant.”
