Elgin Adams

Winter Haven, FL is my hometown. I grew up there, went to school there and work to help people there. I became an EMT, ethen a Paramedic, and then finally an RN in order to do so. I currently work in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of Winter Haven Hospital.

I believe the most important part of my job is Patient Advocacy. People who are unable to speak for themselves must have a voice. I feel that one of the best ways to do this is through patient education. Only through education of health and safety issues are people able to make the correct decisions regarding their care.
