EJ Spurrell was born in Richmond, British Columbia in 1980. After spending his youth and adolescence in the Lower Mainland of BC, he moved to Vancouver Island and started to examine the course of his life.

Over the years since, EJ has battled everything from alcoholism to drug addiction, and through careful practice has managed to escape from the throes of debauchery. (Mostly.)

He has interest in all things science fiction and fantasy, filmmaking, psychology, culture and gender issues. He currently resides in the Fernwood neighborhood of Victoria, BC, Canada with his daughter, where he lives his life according to a rigid philosophy. Life is a game. Beat it.

Over the years, EJ has engaged in a number of ambitious projects, has two published novels and ran a dedicated news/opinion blog during 2015. He is now the creative team lead for Saxe Point Productions, based out of Victoria, British Columbia, and writes on the side for the Honey Badger Brigade.
