Ekanem Ebinne

Music begins inside human beings, and so must any instruction. Not at the instrument, not with the first finger, nor with the first position, not with this or that chord. The starting point is one's own stillness, listening to oneself, the "being ready for music", listening to one's own heart-beat and breathing." - Carl Orff

Ekanem Ebinne is fiercely committed to guiding homeschooling moms who treasure their young child’s musical gift and want to help him contribute to cherished musical traditions, to help him connect with the flow of music, feel the inner light of music shining from him, and hear his inner music ring true with the outside world.

If you are looking for a proven musical mentor who can help you help your child measurably improve his musicianship skills; ensure your child's lifelong freedom to excel at music without performance anxiety; and boost your own confidence in how you make music, then you’ve come to the right place. With 9 years of experience working with amazing clients with similar worries and concerns and guiding them to achieve remarkable success, my mission and commitment is to bring every preschool child the musical skills and inner confidence to sing, play, or compose any music he wishes with excellence and passion.

I've brought this transformation to caregivers and children from birth to age 5 in Texas and California, both in person and via online video.

My path to becoming a teaching musician became clear at age 5 when I sang the call part in “And The Gift Goes On” at my church's Christmas cantata. I heard my voice ring out sure and proud and clear and perfectly in tune. And I felt so close to everyone in the choir and congregation when they sang back to me. It felt like the spotlight was shining from inside me, not just on me.

Clients say remarkable things about the impact of my work on their life. Like:

  • Dad of a 5 year old student who told me his son used drumming skills from my class to improvise in perfect timing with a professional band - to the amazement of the other musicians.
  • Mom who heard her 6 year old daughter sing flawless 2-part harmony ...(more)
