Ekbal Hussain

Hi! I’m Ekbal, a PhD student at the University of Leeds, UK.

I’m an earthquake scientist working to understand how energy is stored and released during seismic events.

I love science communication and believe that as scientists we have an obligation to share the joys and wonders of our art with the rest of the world.

I believe that, through concerted effort, we can make the world a better place for the billions of people living in poverty. It is our responsibility to help others in need.

Taekwondo is my passion. It helps keep me fit and active. Physical fitness is just as important as mental fitness.
