My objective is to one day report on world travel and culture to encourage feelings of global unity by highlighting the ways in which we are similar and celebrating the ways in which we are different.

I have a great passion for education. I found that a career in journalism would allow me to learn every day and share what I've learned on a broadcast scale. I take my role and responsibility as a journalist very seriously, informing people so they can be responsible and well educated citizens of the world.

I thrive on new experiences and the opportunity to learn and grow. More importantly, I am eager to share what I’ve learned with others so they might have that same opportunity.

I believe fostering proper journalistic practices and integrity in American youth has become critical as poor examples of news media contribute to nationwide doubt, suspicion and confusion.

Therefore, my overall goal is to help the news industry reestablish a climate of inspiration, action and sensibility.

In August 2013, I graduated from Syracuse University, SI Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Master of Science degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism. In May 2011, I graduated from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication.
