Lord Ekomy Ndong's name is intimately linked with the history of Rap music in Gabon. At the beginning of his career in the early 90's, this style of music was just emerging on the African continent, but it has now became an institution. Especially in Gabon where Lord Ekomy Ndong is often classified amongst the best producers. And as a conscious watcher of its country's situation, the leader of the group called Movaizhaleine gradually became one of the icon of African Hip-Hop.Indeed, he is known for his Pan-Africanism which is in agreement with the philosophy of great African figures such as Cheikh Anta Diop, Patrice Lumumba or Thomas Sankara. Lord Ekomy Ndong ☥ is also inspired by his roots. He is giving a modern touch to the universe of Bwiti therapists and Mvett storytellers by putting the traditional harp at the very heart of his music. As a reflection of his identity, this is an expression of his will to integrate the African tradition into the Hip-Hop world.He has proved to be a great author, beat-maker and producer, who collaborated with African Rap singers such as Daara J or Didier Awadi. He also worked with Hip-Hop artists from the Diaspora (Sir Samuel, Al Peco, Youssoupha...) and other famous African artists (Pierre Akendengue, Hilarion Nguema, Sally Nyollo, Jeffrey Daniel from Shalamar...).Beetween the launch of his last album (Ibogaine) and the first one (L'AFricain), Lord Ekomy Ndong has produced more than then albums.
