Edward Dvis Lacey, Jr. arrived seventy-five years ago, in the dead of winter, He was born in the front room of a little house that had no bathroom, running water, and very little heat. He grew up in and lived in the tiny town (750 pop) of Fairmount ,GA.,and attended 11 grades of school there, but graduating Calhoun H.S. 25 miles away.

He attended Emory University (Chi Phi) ,graduated Reinhardt University (AA), University of Georgia (BBA), and then for the next 20 years made his career in Textile manufacturing and retailing.

At age 42, He responded affirmatively to God's call to the Gospel Ministry, and has served six Baptist Churches for more than 30 years. He concurrently graduated International Seminary (ThM).

In July 2013 he retired after serving eight years as pastor at Cartecay Baptist Church in Ellijay, GA.

When they ere 20, he married the most beautiful lady, Phyllis Hamrick (a former Miss Gordon County);, They now have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. God is good, ALL THE TIME!
