Dr. Eladio Carrera, M.D., has been named one of America’s Top Physicians. Lauded for his work in the field of gastroenterology and recognized as a distinguished member of the Las Vegas medical community, Dr. Eladio Carrera has gained numerous accolades and acknowledgements during his 25 years of working in the Las Vegas region. Before beginning his residency, Dr. Eladio Carrera graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, from where he received his Doctor of Medicine and a Robert Wood Johnson scholarship. Since then, Dr. Eladio Carrera has excelled working at some of the largest private medical facilities in Las Vegas. During his extensive career, Dr. Eladio Carrera has worked as Chief of Gastroenterology at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Vice-Chief of Medicine and Chief of Medicine at Valley Hospital Medical Center, both facilities housing several hundred patient beds. As an accomplished figure in the medical field, Dr. Eladio Carrera has trained many young doctors and professionals. Dr. Eladio Carrera has held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. Additionally, Dr. Eladio Carrera is a former member of the Internal Medicine Committee and Impaired Physician Review Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Eladio Carrera has gained prominence not only within the Las Vegas community but also nationwide for his contributions to medical science. Beginning in 2003 and ending in 2008, Dr. Eladio Carrera was named annually to the America’s Top Physicians list of the Consumers’ Research Council of America in Washington, D.C.. Additionally, Dr. Eladio Carrera has been listed in Who’s Who Among Hispanic Americans. In 2006 and 2007, Dr. Eladio Carrera was recognized over hundreds of other Las Vegas physicians as one of Las Vegas Life Magazine’s Top Doctors.
